It is therefore important that we take good care of our physical health to live our lives to the full.
Our physical body needs good nutrition to be healthy. A well balanced diet is essential for the efficient functioning of our body. A diet consisting of food rich in carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins and minerals is needed for the body to function properly.
To be able to get all these three basic nutrients, we need to eat fruits, grains nuts and vegetables. These are rich and safe sources of these nutrients. They supply our body with all the nutrients for excellent health. This is the original diet God has given us to be in perfect health.
Complex carbohydrates from root crops or tubers are better than the refined flour from white bread. They provide our body a steady supply of energy, and fibers to help flush out waste and other toxic substances from the body.
Proteins make us grow. They are the building blocks for body repair. Good sources of proteins are flesh meats, but can also be found in fruits, grains, nuts and vegetables. Proteins from flesh meats are heavy proteins that are hard to digest, whereas plant-based proteins are light and are easily digested.
Consumption of flesh meats is no longer safe nowadays. Most flesh meats from dead animals are carriers of various pathogens of contagious diseases that are not killed by the heat during cooking. Most of these flesh meats come from animals raised from feeds loaded with additives and injected with growth hormones that are toxic to the body. Genetically modified growth hormones are the precursors of various types of cancers and other diseases.
To maintain good health, we need vitamins and minerals too. These are the nutrients that make our skin, eyes, hair and nails glow. They are naturally found in most fruits, grains, nuts and vegetables. These phytonutrients are not only rich sources of vitamins and minerals, but they also have powerful antioxidants and immune boosting properties that effectively ward off all diseases. In fact most of these phytonutrients have healing powers that can cure most diseases including cancers.
