Natural Medicine Is The Best

Since primeval days up to now, natural medicine is still the best treatment for all diseases. It is safer and has no adverse side effects.

The phytochemicals used in alternative medicine such as from herbs and other medicinal plants have potent curative powers against all diseases. It is readily available in our backyards or gardens, and cheaper than the conventional medicine.

Alternative medicine is the trend of our time. More people are patronizing it, and medical doctors are shifting to naturopathy to treat their patients. Gone are the days when the herbalist are despised as quack doctors.

To avoid diseases and be healthy, we need good nutrition. It is one of the secrets of good health. Food for good nutrition consists of carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins and minerals. These are the basic nutrients that our body need to be in optimum health.

To be in good health, we need to eat a balanced diet. This is important to avoid being deficient in some nutrients or be malnourished. A balanced diet prevents obesity that may lead to cardiovascular and other diseases. Of course, we need to have a regular physical exercise to stay fit and healthy.

And if you want to glow in the best of health, you need vitamins in your diet. A vitamin deficiency is one of the primary causes of many diseases. So be sure to include vitamins and minerals in your diet.

Natural vitamins are found in fruits, grains, nuts, and vegetables. They are rich sources of anti-oxidants that slow down aging. They are also available in supplements. But avoid the synthetic ones — they are made from toxic chemicals that are harmful to our body.

We Should Take Good Care Of Our Health

We should take good care of our health. If we want to live our lives happily, we must take good care of our health.

When we speak of health, most of us understand it to be a physical health. And rightly so, because all other aspects of health such as mental, social and spiritual are all dependent upon physical health. It is therefore important that we take good care of our physical health to live our lives to the full.

Our physical body needs good nutrition to be healthy. A well balanced diet is essential for the efficient functioning of our body. A diet consisting of food rich in carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins and minerals is needed for the body to function properly.

To be able to get all these three basic nutrients, we need to eat fruits, grains nuts and vegetables. These are rich and safe sources of these nutrients. They supply our body with all the nutrients for excellent health. This is the original diet God has given us to be in perfect health.

Complex carbohydrates from root crops or tubers are better than the refined flour from white bread. They provide our body a steady supply of energy, and fibers to help flush out waste and other toxic substances from the body.

Proteins make us grow. They are the building blocks for body repair. Good sources of proteins are flesh meats, but can also be found in fruits, grains, nuts and vegetables. Proteins from flesh meats are heavy proteins that are hard to digest, whereas plant-based proteins are light and are easily digested.

Consumption of flesh meats is no longer safe nowadays. Most flesh meats from dead animals are carriers of various pathogens of contagious diseases that are not killed by the heat during cooking. Most of these flesh meats come from animals raised from feeds loaded with additives and injected with growth hormones that are toxic to the body. Genetically modified growth hormones are the precursors of various types of cancers and other diseases.

To maintain good health, we need vitamins and minerals too. These are the nutrients that make our skin, eyes, hair and nails glow. They are naturally found in most fruits, grains, nuts and vegetables. These phytonutrients are not only rich sources of vitamins and minerals, but they also have powerful antioxidants and immune boosting properties that effectively ward off all diseases. In fact most of these phytonutrients have healing powers that can cure most diseases including cancers.

We should take good care of our health. Let us not dump the carcasses of animals into our stomachs — they putrefy in our body and make our blood highly acidic, and they cause all diseases including tumors and cancers, and the dreaded incurable prion protein diseases.

We should take good care of our health. Let us eat fruits, grains, nuts and vegetables. This is the original diet God has given us to be in optimum health. It would be for our good if we obey what God said. He is so omniscient and so wise to be mistaken.

We should take good care of our health for the glory of God. We are not our own. We are bought with a price: the precious holy blood of the King of kings and Lord of lords, the Lord Jesus Christ our Savior. We are the temple of God, and the Holy Spirit dwells in us. Whosoever destroy the temple, the same God will destroy.

Essential Nutrients For A Healthy Body

There are 3 basic essential nutrients for a healthy body. These are carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins and minerals. All of these are important for good health. A deficiency of these may result to health problems.

Carbohydrates provide energy to keep us going. Proteins build the body and make us grow. Vitamins and minerals maintain the body and make us glow in good health.

To be healthy, we should eat a balanced diet of carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins and minerals. Most of these nutrients can be found in fruits, grains, nuts, and vegetables.

But in our modern world, most of these nutrients are no longer safe for consumption because of chemical pollution from industrial plants. Most of the foods we buy in supermarkets nowadays are processed with chemicals that poison our body and genetically modified which render them carcinogenic and dangerous to health.

A safe recourse is to plant our own organic fruits and vegetables. We can also buy Herbalife products that are natural and safe in case we cannot buy in the market or plant our own organic vegetables.

Carbohydrates are divided into simple and complex. Simple carbohydrates are molecules of sugars, while complex carbohydrates are chains of bonded molecules of sugar. Complex carbohydrates are commonly known as starch, and they provide the body a steady supply of energy. Good sources of complex carbohydrates are root crops or tubers such as sweet potato, cassava, yams and others. It is also found in beans, lentils, brown rice,  corn, buckwheat, wholegrain cereals, oatmeals, and many more.

Proteins are important in building the structural components  of the body. It is used to build muscles and organs, to create hormones, to synthesize neurotransmitters for a healthy nervous system, and to strengthen the immune system. They are made up of basic building blocks called amino acids.

There are 20 amino acids, and 11 of these are “non-essential, that is, there’s no need to get these amino acids from our diet because our body can produce them from chemicals that are already present in our body. Some of the non-essential amino acids, such as arginine, cysteine, glycine, and tyrosine are called “conditionally essential” because some people, due to genetic defects, cannot produce these in their body but have to get these from their diet. The 9 essential amino acids are not produce by the body. We take it from the food  we eat.

Good sources of protein are meats, eggs, and dairy products. But due to the exposure of cattle and fowls to various toxic chemicals such as growth hormones, feed additives, and the many preservatives, flavorings, enhancers, and colors in most processed meats, animal protein is no longer safe. Animal flesh meats are carriers of infectious diseases that are easily transmitted to humans. Also animal proteins are heavy proteins that are hard to digest.

Plant-based proteins are light, and are easily digested by the body. They do not ferment easily to cause acidic system that is common in most flesh meats. Good sources of plant proteins are legumes, nut, seeds, grains, cereals, seaweeds, and other green leafy vegetables.

To be in optimum health, we need vitamins and minerals too. Vitamins are organic substances that come from plants and animals, whereas minerals are inorganic elements that come from the earth, soil, and water that are absorbed by plants. Most vitamins and minerals are found in plants such as fruits, grains, nuts, and vegetable. Busy people who have no time to cook can also take Herbalife vitamin and mineral supplements to stay in the best of health.

Cooking For Kids At Home

Cooking For Kids at home is a nice time to make nutritious and delicious food for our children. During this time, we can make nutritious food than buying junk foods for them. It is an inexpensive but a sure way to make your kids healthy.

It is also a time  to spend some nice memories with our kids. We can cook with them and they can learn to cook some good recipes at their early years of age.

We must teach our children at  their early age to be more independent. They won’t stay with us always, and it is important that we teach them how to cook now. Even simple and easy recipes will do, and they will really be happy eating food which they have cooked with their own effort.

We can teach our kids  to bake nutritious cookies, muffins and cakes. We can also make some unique food for them. We can cook with less sugar or make patties using the pulp of extracted carrots,  spinach and other vegetables.

For a nutritious drink, we can make beverages or shakes by extracting some vegetable juices, such as carrots and cucumber mixed with ice cubes to make it more refreshing. With our cooked vegetable patties and carrot-cucumber juice, our kids will surely enjoy their meal.

Cooking for kids is a good time to spend with our children. Most of us are busy with our office work, and we can show our love and care for them by cooking special food during the weekends. They will appreciate this very much, and they won’t forget the memories of the time we have shared with them.

Cooking for kids is indeed very advantageous for us and our children. By this, we not only save money, but we also teach them how to cook, and share quality time with our kids.

Taking Good Care of our Eyes

Taking good care of our eyes is of prime importance to all of us. With a defective or impaired eyesight, we cannot do our work properly. We cannot read the newspaper nor do the usual chores at home when our eyes are defective or blurred. Our day becomes miserable when we do not make immediate action to correct it. Headaches usually follow and we suffer discomfort throughout the day. Sometimes, vomiting and vertigo can result from an impaired vision.

The immediate solution is to see an optometrist for prescription glasses. We need either bifocal or progressive eye glasses to correct our vision. We do not have to wait for long and expect our eyesight to improve without seeing the optometrist. Without the corrective eye glasses, our vision will deteriorate more to bring more discomfort everyday.

Most of the time, we work at our computer for hours, and we strain our eyes so much. The glare from the computer monitor or console can harm our eyes. We need to install a filter in front of our computer screen to protect us not only from the glare but from the adverse health effects of radiation too.

So much exposure to the glare of TV and video games can also cause discomfort to our eyes. Not only the glare but also the rapid motions that are so common in TV shows and video games can easily destroy our vision. Walking under the mid-day sun during bright days or summer without sunglasses can destroy our eyes. The ultraviolet rays from the sun can greatly impair our vision or even cause blindness.

To protect our eyes, we need to avoid the above causative factors that can easily destroy our vision. Reading under improper lighting condition must be avoided. Do not read when the car, bus or train is in motion. This will strain your eyes very badly. And of course, eat nutritious food such as fruits, and vegetables, especially those with the yellow rinds which are very rich in vitamin A and beta carotene.

Surviving Mesothelioma Through Alternative Treatments

Is surviving mesothelioma through alternative treatments possible? How long can the patient stay alive before its recurrence?

These are the questions most doctors and patients are asking after some individuals who had mesothelioma had survived this rare disease through alternative treatments.

What is mesothelioma?

Mesothelioma is a rare form of cancer that invades the mesothelium, the membrane that covers and protects most internal organs of the body. It is composed of 2 layers: the first, directly covers the organs, and the other, forms sacs around it. Between these layers, the mesothelium produces a lubricating fluid that helps to safely cushion the organs from adjacent structures such as during the beating of the heart and the expanding and contraction of the lungs.

Mesothelium has many names depending on its location in the body. It is called pericardium in the heart, pleura in the lungs, and peritoneum in the organs that are in the abdominal cavity.

The major risk factor that causes mesothelioma is exposure to asbestos. There are different kinds of asbestos, with the white asbestos or Chrysotile as the mesothelioma asbestos being the most widely used asbestos in industry. Men are more susceptible than women, and the risk becomes higher in the older age group, although there are some incidences that show that children are affected too.

The standard or conventional treatment of mesothelioma is by surgery, radiation therapy and chemotherapy. The recovery from this treatment is minimal, and the recurrence of the disease is high, besides being abnormally exposed to highly toxic medicines used in chemotherapy.

Some patients of mesothelioma recovered without any medication at all. It was found that these individuals were healthy and have healthy lifestyle. This leads to the belief that a strong immune system could possibly ward off mesothelioma and other forms of cancer.

Indeed, a strong immune system can protect the body from a host of diseases including cancer. Proper nutrition, healthy lifestyle, and positive mental attitude can greatly boost the immune system. Eating fruits, grains, nuts, and vegetables supplies the body with all the carbohydrates, proteins, vitamins and minerals for a healthy body.

Diseases, such as mesothelioma has no place in a healthy immune system. The phytonutrients from fruits, grains, nuts, and vegetables protect the body from many diseases. In the onslaught of diseases, herbs and other alternative treatments are more reliable than conventional treatment as proven by some patients of mesothelioma cancer that are still alive after more than a decade from their mesothelioma prognosis. The use of alternative medicine such as Ukrain, Iscador, Astragalus, vitamin C, and the use of ozone therapy has proven very effective in the treatment of mesothelioma and other forms of cancer.

It Is Better To Be A Vegetarian

It is better to be a vegetarian. A vegetarian diet is very good for the body. Being vegetarian can bring good health and prolong your life.

Five years ago, I started to be a vegetarian. I experienced the good results of being a vegetarian. I included raw vegetables in my diet, and my health becomes better. My body benefited a lot from my being a vegetarian.

I used to believe  that a vegetarian diet is not complete. I ran with the wrong notion then that a vegetarian diet lacks or has no protein in it. Most people believed that vegetables and other plant-based foods cannot supply the body of the needful protein for growth because this nutrient is only found in animal meat.

But this is wrong. Fruits, grains, nuts and vegetables do have proteins in them, and in better quality compared with those from animal meats. Plant proteins are lighter and easily digested by the body, whereas animal proteins are heavy proteins that are hard for the body to digest. They can putrefy in the stomach, cause dyspepsia, constipation, and other abnormalities in the body that may cause a hosts of diseases.

Most people also believe that plants cannot supply the body with vitamin B12. This is the reason why they taunt the vegetarians as anemic and sallow. This is not true. Some fruits and vegetables do provide us with vitamin B12. One example is spirulina, which comes from an algae. Also, when the body has sufficient supply of cobalt, it produces its own vitamin B12. Cobalt is a part of vitamin B12. Nova Scotia dulse and the Norwegian kelp are rich sources of cobalt. The above sources are all seaweeds, and they indirectly provide our body with vitamin B12. It is even believed, but not confirmed, that our saliva upon waking up in the morning has good supply of vitamin B12.

A vegetarian diet has many health benefits. The phytonutrients in fruits, grains, nuts, and vegetables not only supply the essential nutrients that are needful for a healthy body, but they have also healing powers against many diseases. And some of these plants have potent phytochemical to fight against cancer.

A vegetarian diet can bring back the suppleness of your body and the luster of your skin and hair. It prevents premature aging, and rejuvenates the body. It can restore your eyesight, and sharpen your memory. A vegetarian diet improves your whole being physically, mentally, socially, and spiritually.

Great Minds Were Vegetarians

Do you know that more great minds were vegetarians?

Some people usually taunt the vegetarians as anemic, sallow, weak and ghastly. They believe vegetables are only for cows, and people must eat flesh meats to have proteins in their diets. Eating vegetables, they say, reduces masculine virility and libido, and they fear that they might not be able to “rise to the occasion”.

These mockers are not aware that more great minds were vegetarians. Among the great minds who were vegetarians were Pythagoras, Socrates, Plato, Aristotle, Plutarch, Plotinus, Diogenes, Epicurus, Porphyry, Immanuel Kant, Voltaire, Leonardo da Vinci, Vincent van Gogh, Charles Darwin, Albert Schweitzer,  Benjamin Franklin, Albert Einstein, Isaac Newton, Thomas Alva Edison, Shelley, Emerson, Abraham Lincoln, Mahatma Gandhi,  George Bernard Shaw, Leo Tolstoy, Ralph Waldo Emerson, Nikola Tesla, and Norman Walker.

Pythagoras was considered the “Father of Vegetarianism”. He formulated the Pythagorean theorem, besides other mathematical and geometrical findings, and other findings about the movement of the Earth around the Sun. Six hundred  years before Christ, Pythagoras and his adherents practiced strict vegetarianism. Pythagoras believed that man’s full philosophical potential can only be achieved when his body is physically fit and healthy. Long before the word “vegetarian” was coined in the 19th century, people who practiced vegetarianism were called Pythagoreans. Many Greek philosophers, besides Pythagoras were also vegetarians.

Albert Einstein is also a vegetarian. Though it is believed that his playing the violin during his childhood  had greatly improved his intelligence, his being a vegetarian was among the primary factors that helped him to become the greatest scientist of the 21st century. His Theory of Relativity was the greatest discovery of  all times, and has still remained to be a puzzle to many even to his peers until now. Other science greats who are vegetarians are Sir Isaac Newton, Nikola Tesla, and Thomas Alva Edison.

The list of great minds that are vegetarians is long. Most in the list are philosophers, scientists, mathematicians, inventors, musicians, spiritual leaders, presidents and leaders of nations, artists, painters, writers, novelists, actors, actresses, and singers.

Man Was Originally Vegetarian

Man was originally vegetarian. Fruits, grains, nuts, and vegetables was man’s original diet given by God,  and flesh meat eating was allowed only after the Flood when there was a total destruction of vegetation on the surface of the earth. When men started eating flesh meats, diseases appeared, and men died prematurely. Please read my previous article “Why Flesh Meat Eating Is Harmful To Health”, and know more about this.

Studies in anatomy showed that man is vegetarian by nature. Man’s digestive system was originally designed for vegetarian diet. His teeth are similar to fruit-eating animals such as monkeys. He does not have pointed canine teeth like those of the carnivorous animals.

Man was originally vegetarian. Like the herbivorous animals, his jaw has three distinct motions: vertical or up and down, lateral or sideways, and forward and backward. Carnivorous animals have only up and down motion of their jaw when masticating their food.

Man was originally vegetarian as his intestines indicated. Like the herbivores, his small intestines are longer and his large intestine is shorter. His digestive tract is similar to animals consuming largely nuts, fruits, and vegetables.

Man was originally vegetarian as the following facts show:

  • Like all vegetarian animals, man perspire through his skin, and not through the mouth as is common in carnivorous animals.
  • As a vegetarian, man drinks by suction, while the carnivorous animals drink by lapping the water with their tongues.
  • Man is provided with an enzyme called ptyalin in his saliva for the proper digestion of starch in his body. Carnivorous animals cannot digest starch.
  • Man’s blood types A, B, and O are similar with the herbivores such as apes.
  • The bile salts found in man is similar to herbivorous animals.

Man was indeed a vegetarian originally as his anatomy shows. It would be for man’s advantage if he returns to his original diet: fruits, grains, and vegetables. If man will continue to consume flesh meats, he will have diseases and afflictions, and his life on this earth will be shortened.
