Why Should One Choose to Become a Vegetarian?

More people visit their doctors often nowadays. Millions are spent on medicines, doctor’s fee, and other hospital bills annually. Illnesses and diseases increase in frequency at the workforce, and industrial companies lose a lot in profit. Heart attack is fast becoming rampant in affluent societies, and most often it brings bereavement to families. Mortality rates soar because of too much consumption of foods rich in fat.

Why Should One Choose to Become a Vegetarian? What benefits do i get?

Our food nowadays are no longer safe. Almost all our food are processed. Most food are loaded with monosodium glutamate, asparatame, and other toxic chemicals that causes cancers, tumors, and other diseases.

The meat we buy from the markets are no longer safe as well. Beef, chicken, and fish are sprayed with formalin to stay fresh. Some of these reach our kitchen double dead, i.e., they were dead already before they were butchered for sale in the markets. Some of these animals are sick with tumors and other diseases which are transferred to consumers.

Those whop refuse to give up flesh meat eating try to rationalize their habit that whether they eat meat or not, they still die. So eat; be happy, and die soon. They argue that vegetables are also detrimental to health because they are sprayed with pesticides.

Pesticides are easily washed away in water, whereas the toxic chemicals in meats are embedded in their flesh. Growth hormones are injected to animals and fowls, and consumers ingest them into their system. Take the cow as an example. They are injected with recombitant bovine growth hormone. Their feeds are mixed with chemicals and powdered carcasses of sick animals, thus the notorious mad cow disease. Chickens are not safe too — their feeds are loaded with chemicals. And the fish we eat comes from the waters polluted with sewage from industrial plants, and with human wastes, and with dead animals.

Our safe alternative is vegetarianism. Light protein from plats can be easily digested and absorbed by the body. Fruits, grains, nuts, and vegetables are rich in vitamins and mineral s essential to good health. Most of them have healing powers to restore our body to excellent health.
